First off, I would like to talk about the world of Bodybuilding. Bodybuilding and weightlifting are definitely
not the same. With Bodybuilding, you use weight training to gain mass, definition, to look better basically. With
Weight training, you do not really care how you look-some definition and a lot of mass come with it, but your goal is to lift
heavier weight. Obviously, the reason they intersect is because both use resistance training with weights. But,
they also intersect in many other ways. Bodybuilders know that to gain mass, weightlifting, or powerlifting as
it is also called, is that very best way to do it. More weight you lift, more muscles tear, then during recovery, the
muscles that tear "hypertrophy", or in other words add even more mass so they get bigger than they were before lifting.
Doing it without steriods, it takes a while to get into bodybuilder shape. My friend Derrick, he is a monstorous but
defined bodybuilder at the YMCA. He said that he got back into weight training like bodybuilder six years ago-that is
how long it took him to go from 170 to 205. But, he still looks like he is on steriods or something, because he is that
good at natural bodybuilding. I am learning from him, and taking all these supplements at the right times and everything,
so I figure it will take me a good five years to get up to 230 with 10% or less bodyfat. That is what I really want
to be in shape for WWE. 6'1", 230 or 235, 10% bodyfat. As long as I keep working very hard, I'll get there.
See, that is the frustrating thing-you work extremely hard in the workout, but you don't see any drastic improvements for
months. You can see some minor improvements, which push you harder and motivate you. Neways, I hope you learned
a thing or two about Bodybuilding and Weightlifting.
